President SR awarded state order (3.1.2012)

President SR Ivan Gasparovič today awarded the highest state on the occasion of 19 anniversary of the Slovak Republic the following persons:

Order of the Ľudovít Štúr I. class posthumously – for outstanding merit and lifelong contribution to the development of culture, particularly in the field of historical sciences

Bohumil Golian, athlete
Order of the Ľudovít Štúr I. class – for outstanding merit in the development of sport of the Slovak Republic

Ladislav Macho, doctor
Order of the Ľudovít Štúr I. class – for outstanding merit in the development of science, particularly in the field of experimental endocrinology.

Gejza Blaas, agrarian economist
ROrder of the Ľudovít Štúr II. class- for outstanding merit in the development of science, particularly for lifetime scientific work in the field of Agricultural

Svetozar Dluholucký, doctor
Order of the Ľudovít Štúr II. class – for outstanding merit in the development of science, particularly the development of health care for the child

LiborEbringer , a scientist in the field of microbiology
Order of the Ľudovít Štúr II. class – Special Merit for development in the field of microbiology and genetic toxicology, and spreading the good name of the Slovak Republic abroad
